Erasmus+ is Europe's flagship programme for education, training, youth and sport, offering millions of learners and staff the chance to experience life abroad. One of its greatest strengths is the sheer number of countries involved. From 2027, this network becomes even stronger as the United Kingdom rejoins Erasmus+, opening new opportunities for mobility and partnership.

EU member states (27 countries)
These countries form the core of Erasmus+ and participate fully in all programme actions:

The United Kingdom — rejoining Erasmus+ in 2027
From 2027, the UK will once again take part in Erasmus+ as a full programme country. This means schools, VET providers, youth organisations and sport groups across Europe will be able to:
- Send learners and staff to the UK
- Partner with UK schools, colleges, training providers and youth organisations
- Develop joint Erasmus+ projects
- Access English-speaking work placements and cultural programmes
The UK's return strengthens the programme's reach and restores a major destination for mobility.
Partner countries (outside Europe)
Erasmus+ also collaborates with countries beyond Europe. These “Partner Countries” participate in specific actions, mainly under international cooperation and capacity-building projects.
